Bigger ThanThe BooksTerms and Conditions
Effective October 24, 2026
THE SHORT VERSION
- Nothing is guaranteed. Every pick, line, hit rate, grade, and parlay on this site can lose.
- This is a sports research and information site. It is not a sportsbook or a gambling site, and it does not take, place, or settle wagers.
- We do not sell picks or give out prizes, money, or anything of value. If you pay for access, you pay only for research tools and data, never for picks, wagers, or guaranteed results.
- Paid access (currently $7.99 per week) renews automatically every week until you cancel. You can cancel anytime, and fees are not refundable except where the law requires.
- You must be 21 or older, and you alone decide whether, where, and how much to bet. Every bet you make is your own risk.
- To the fullest extent the law allows, Bigger Than The Books is not responsible for any losses, and disputes go to individual arbitration, not class actions.
The full Terms below control if anything differs.
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") are a binding legal agreement between you and BTTB LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company doing business as Bigger Than The Books, including its members, managers, owners, operators, affiliates, contractors, and agents (together, "Bigger Than The Books," "BTTB," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your access to and use of biggerthanthebooks.com, its apps, home-screen versions, notifications, social media channels, chat, and every feature, page, tool, and piece of content we provide (together, the "Site").
By checking the box and selecting "I agree," by creating an account, or by accessing or using the Site in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site.
If you buy paid access, these Terms also apply to that purchase, together with any price and plan details shown at checkout.
These Terms contain a binding individual arbitration agreement and a class action waiver in Section 21. Please read it carefully. It affects how disputes are resolved.
2. We are not a gambling site
Bigger Than The Books is a sports research, statistics, and entertainment website. It is not a sportsbook, casino, bookmaker, betting exchange, gaming operator, lottery, sweepstakes, or fantasy sports operator, and it is not licensed or regulated as any of those.
We do not accept, place, broker, hold, process, or settle wagers of any kind.
We do not accept deposits, hold funds, extend credit, or pay out winnings. Any fee you pay us is only for access to the Site's information and tools. It is never a deposit, stake, wager, entry fee, or payment for a chance to win anything.
We do not set odds. Prices and lines shown on the Site come from third-party sources, such as public sportsbook feeds, and are shown for information only.
Buttons or links such as "Playbook", "Place on FanDuel" or "Add to betslip" only build a list on the Site or open a third-party website (including Playbook, which lets you choose a sportsbook). Any wager you choose to place is made solely between you and that third party, under that third party's terms, and never with us.
The "betslip," "lock in," "units," "cashed," "ladder," "free play," and similar features and words on the Site are tracking and research tools that use pretend, hypothetical amounts. They are not real bets, they have no cash value, and nothing is ever wagered, won, or paid through them.
3. Nothing is guaranteed
Sports outcomes are uncertain. No pick, prediction, projection, model, hit rate, streak, grade, "safe" line, "hot streak," "lock," "edge," Parlay of the Day, Ladder Challenge rung, or any other content on the Site is a promise, guarantee, or assurance of any result.
Past results, records, histories, hit rates, and win streaks shown on the Site describe what already happened. They do not predict or guarantee future results, and they are not typical of what any person should expect.
Words such as "safe," "hot," "lock," "cashed," "value," "EV," "edge," "best," and percentages or chances to hit are descriptive labels produced by statistical methods. They are opinions and estimates, not facts or guarantees, and they can be wrong.
4. Information and entertainment only; not advice
Everything on the Site is general information provided for entertainment and research purposes only. Nothing on the Site is, or should be relied on as, betting, gambling, financial, investment, tax, legal, or other professional advice, and no professional or advisory relationship is created between you and us.
Content on the Site is not tailored to your personal situation. You are solely responsible for evaluating any information before acting on it, and for every decision you make, including whether to place any wager, with whom, and how much.
Much of the Site is produced by automated systems, statistical models, software, and artificial intelligence tools. That content may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information, and it is not reviewed by a person before it appears.
5. No sale of picks and no prizes
We do not sell individual picks, predictions, or betting advice, and we do not offer tipping services or "guaranteed" plays. Paid access to the Site (Section 6) pays only for access to research tools, data, and features as a whole. It does not buy picks, results, wins, or advice. Anyone claiming to sell picks on our behalf is not authorized by us.
Features such as the Ladder Challenge, Parlay of the Day, leaderboards, lock-ins, streaks, and records are for entertainment only. No prize, money, credit, gift, or anything of value is offered or awarded for participating, winning, placing, or ranking in them, whether or not you pay for access to the Site.
If we ever offer a promotion, contest, or giveaway, it will be governed by separate official rules posted with it. Without those rules, no promotion exists.
6. Paid access, billing, and cancellation
Some or all of the Site may require a paid plan ("Paid Access"). Paid Access is currently US $7.99 per week, plus any applicable taxes. The price, billing period, and plan details shown to you at checkout control if they differ from this Section.
What you pay for. Paid Access gives you access to the Site's research tools, data, and features for each paid period. You are not paying for picks, predictions, advice, results, wagers, entries, or any chance to win anything. Paying never entitles you to any prize, winnings, or result, and losing bets are never grounds for a refund.
AUTOMATIC RENEWAL. PAID ACCESS RENEWS AUTOMATICALLY EVERY WEEK, AND YOUR PAYMENT METHOD WILL BE CHARGED THE THEN-CURRENT WEEKLY PRICE PLUS ANY TAXES AT THE START OF EACH NEW WEEK, UNTIL YOU CANCEL. BY STARTING PAID ACCESS, YOU AUTHORIZE THESE RECURRING CHARGES.
How to cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account on the Site or by contacting us through Report a problem. Cancellation stops future charges. You keep Paid Access until the end of the week you already paid for, and you will not be charged again.
Refunds. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all fees are non-refundable, including for partial weeks, unused time, features you did not use, outages, or any loss on any wager. Where the law gives you a right to a refund or to cancel, we will honor it. We may issue a refund or credit at our sole discretion, and doing so once does not oblige us to do so again.
Price changes. We may change the price of Paid Access. We will tell you at least 7 days before a new price applies to you, by email or on the Site. If you do not cancel before the new price takes effect, you agree to pay it.
Free trials and promotions. If we offer a free trial or promotional price, the terms shown with it apply. Unless you cancel before it ends, it turns into Paid Access at the regular price, and your payment method will be charged.
Payments. Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor, such as Stripe, under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not store your full card number. You agree to provide current, complete, and valid payment information and authorize us and our processor to charge it. If a payment fails, we may suspend or end Paid Access. You are responsible for any taxes on your purchase.
Disputes about charges. Please contact us through Report a problem before disputing a charge with your bank or card issuer. If you dispute a valid charge, we may suspend or close your account.
Changes to Paid Access. We may add, change, or remove features of Paid Access at any time. Paid Access is for your personal use only. Sharing, reselling, or transferring it is not allowed.
7. Eligibility: 21 and older
You must be at least 21 years old, and at least the legal age to gamble in the place where you are located, to use the Site. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
You must not use the Site if you are prohibited from doing so under any law that applies to you, if you have excluded yourself from gambling through any self-exclusion program, or if we have suspended or removed your access.
8. Your responsibility to follow the law
Laws about sports betting differ by country, state, province, tribe, and city, and they change. Sports betting is illegal in some places. You alone are responsible for knowing and following every law that applies to you, including any law about online gambling, sports wagering, age limits, location, and taxes.
The Site is not an offer or solicitation to gamble in any place where gambling is illegal. Do not use any information from the Site to place a wager where doing so is unlawful. Void where prohibited.
You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any taxes on any gambling winnings, and for keeping your own records.
9. Responsible gaming
Gambling involves real financial risk, and you can lose some or all of the money you wager. Only bet what you can afford to lose, set limits, and never chase losses.
If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, help is available. Call or text 1‑800‑GAMBLER (1‑800‑426‑2537), visit ncpgambling.org, or contact your local problem gambling helpline. You can also use the self-exclusion and limit tools offered by your sportsbook and your state.
We may limit or end your access to the Site at any time if we believe it is in your interest or the interest of others.
10. Data, odds, and accuracy
Odds, lines, prices, scores, statistics, injury reports, schedules, kickoff times, player and team information, logos, and other data on the Site come from third-party and public sources and from automated processes. We do not control those sources and do not guarantee that any data is accurate, complete, current, or available.
Prices move constantly. A price or line shown on the Site may have changed, been removed, or never been available to you by the time you see it. Always confirm every price, line, market, and rule with your sportsbook before placing any wager. Sportsbooks, not us, decide whether a market is offered and how a wager is graded, voided, or settled.
Results, grades, "hit," "miss," "void," and "cashed" labels on the Site are our own tracking and may differ from how a sportsbook settles a wager.
11. Third-party sites, sportsbooks, and trademarks
The Site may link to or show content from third parties, including sportsbooks such as FanDuel, sports data providers such as ESPN, leagues, teams, and social media platforms. We do not own, control, endorse, or take responsibility for any third-party website, service, content, product, or wager. Your use of any third-party service is at your own risk and is governed by that third party's terms and policies.
Bigger Than The Books is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by FanDuel, ESPN, the NFL, NCAA, MLB, NHL, WNBA, NBA, MLS, any soccer league or federation, or any team, player, or sportsbook. All team names, league names, logos, and other trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify them.
Some links on the Site may be affiliate or referral links. If so, we may receive compensation from a third party when you use them. That never changes the price or terms you receive from the third party, and it does not mean the third party endorses us or that we guarantee the third party.
12. Accounts and security
You may need to sign in, for example through Google, X, or a username and password, to use the Site. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your sign-in details secure, and not share your account. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
Tell us promptly through the Report a problem option in the account menu if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
We may suspend, limit, or close any account, and remove any content, at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice, including if we believe you have broken these Terms or the law.
13. Rules for using the Site
You agree not to, and not to help anyone else to:
sell, advertise, or promote picks, tipping services, sportsbooks, gambling, or any product or service, or solicit money or payment from other users;
post anything unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, violent, fraudulent, or misleading, or anything that infringes someone else's rights;
share anyone's personal information, impersonate any person, or misrepresent your connection with anyone;
arrange, discuss, or encourage match fixing, point shaving, betting on events you can influence, using inside information, or any other illegal or corrupt activity;
scrape, copy, harvest, or download the Site's content or data with bots, scripts, or other automated means, or resell, republish, or commercially use any of it, except as we allow in writing;
interfere with, overload, hack, probe, reverse engineer, or bypass any security or access control of the Site, or upload viruses or harmful code;
use the Site if you are under 21, are in a place where it is unlawful, or have been removed from it.
14. Your content
You are responsible for anything you post, upload, or share on the Site, including chat messages, shared betslips, screenshots, profile pictures, usernames, and reports ("Your Content"). You represent that you own or have permission to share Your Content and that it does not break these Terms or the law.
You keep ownership of Your Content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, copy, display, modify, adapt, distribute, and otherwise use Your Content to operate, improve, and promote the Site.
We do not have to monitor Your Content, but we may review, edit, remove, or refuse any of it at any time. Content posted by other users reflects their views only, and we are not responsible for it.
Uploaded screenshots, such as betslips, may be read automatically by software to find bet details. Do not upload images that show personal, account, or financial information you do not want processed.
15. Our content and intellectual property
The Site and its design, software, text, graphics, cards, logos, the Bigger Than The Books name, and the selection and arrangement of content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Site for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. All other rights are reserved.
If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice through Report a problem with your contact details, the work you believe is infringed, where the material appears on the Site, a statement of good-faith belief, a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act, and your physical or electronic signature. We may remove material and end the accounts of repeat infringers.
16. Privacy and notifications
We collect the information needed to run the Site, such as your name, email address, and profile picture from your sign-in provider, your username, your settings and favorite teams, the content you post, notification tokens if you turn on notifications, billing details such as your plan and payment status if you buy Paid Access (card details are handled by our payment processor), and technical and usage information such as device, browser, general location from your network, the screens and features you use and for how long, and what you add to or do with your betslip. We use it to operate, secure, and improve the Site, including to understand which features people use, to show your account and activity, and to send notifications you ask for.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Site, such as hosting, database, sign-in, and payment providers, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of others. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information.
If you turn on notifications, we may send alerts such as new picks or results. You can turn them off at any time in your device or browser settings. You can ask us to delete your account through Report a problem.
Our Privacy Policy, at biggerthanthebooks.com/privacy, explains in full what we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and your choices. It is part of these Terms.
17. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, DATA, PICKS, TOOLS, AND FEATURES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, THAT ANY DEFECT WILL BE CORRECTED, THAT ANY CONTENT OR PRICE IS ACCURATE OR CURRENT, OR THAT USING THE SITE WILL LEAD TO ANY WINNINGS OR RESULT. NO ADVICE OR INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM US OR THROUGH THE SITE CREATES ANY WARRANTY.
18. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL BIGGER THAN THE BOOKS OR ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY GAMBLING OR WAGERING LOSSES; ANY LOST MONEY, PROFITS, WINNINGS, REVENUE, OR DATA; OR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SITE, ITS CONTENT, ANY THIRD PARTY, OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD SUCH DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SITE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US TO USE THE SITE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50).
Some places do not allow certain warranties or damages to be excluded or limited. In those places, the exclusions and limits above apply to the fullest extent allowed, and our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law permits.
If you live in New Jersey: the disclaimer of warranties in Section 17, the limitation of liability in this Section 18, the release in Section 19, the indemnity in Section 20, and the time limit in Section 21 apply to you only to the extent New Jersey law allows, and any part New Jersey law does not allow does not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms, including the words "void where prohibited" in Section 8, limits any right you have under the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act or the Truth-in-Consumer Contract, Warranty and Notice Act.
19. Assumption of risk and release
You understand and agree that gambling carries a risk of financial loss, that sports results are unpredictable, and that any decision to place a wager is yours alone. You knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks connected with your use of the Site and with any wager you place, whether or not you used information from the Site.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Bigger Than The Books and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, affiliates, and agents from all claims, demands, and damages of every kind, known and unknown, arising out of or related to your use of the Site, any wager, or any dispute with a third party, including a sportsbook or another user. If you are a California resident, you waive California Civil Code Section 1542, which says: "A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party." You waive any similar law in any other place.
20. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bigger Than The Books and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, judgments, fines, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to your use of the Site, Your Content, any wager you place, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party. We may take over the defense of any such claim at your expense, and you agree to cooperate with us.
21. Binding arbitration and class action waiver
Informal resolution first. Before starting any claim, you agree to send us a written description of the dispute through Report a problem and to try in good faith to resolve it informally for at least 60 days.
Arbitration. Except as stated below, you and we agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms, including their formation, scope, validity, or enforceability (a "Dispute"), will be resolved only by final and binding individual arbitration, and not in court. The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules in effect at the time, before a single arbitrator. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this Section. The arbitration may be held by video, telephone, or written submissions, or in person in the county where you live. Payment of AAA fees will follow the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitrator may award only the individual relief available in court and must follow these Terms.
Exceptions. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies, and either party may ask a court for an injunction to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property or unauthorized access to the Site.
CLASS ACTION WAIVER. YOU AND WE AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING DISPUTES AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. YOU AND WE EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims of more than one person. If this class action waiver is found unenforceable for any claim, that claim must be decided in court, and not in arbitration.
Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending us written notice through Report a problem, titled "Arbitration opt-out," with your name and the email address of your account, within 30 days after you first agree to these Terms. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
Time limit. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any Dispute must be brought within one (1) year after it arose, or it is permanently barred.
22. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the Federal Arbitration Act, other applicable U.S. federal law, and the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to Section 21, any Dispute that is permitted to go to court will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you and we consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
The Site is operated from the United States and is intended for users in the United States. If you use the Site from anywhere else, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for following local law.
23. Changes to the Site and these Terms
We may change, suspend, or stop any part of the Site at any time, without notice or liability.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above and may ask you to agree again before you continue using the Site. Your continued use of the Site after updated Terms are posted means you accept them. If you do not agree, stop using the Site.
24. General terms
Termination. You may stop using the Site at any time. We may end or suspend your access at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including Sections 2 through 6, 10, 11, and 14 through 24, and any obligation to pay fees already owed, survive.
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with any rules or policies posted on the Site, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site and replace any earlier agreements.
Severability. If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that part will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest stays in full effect.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
Assignment. You may not transfer these Terms or your account. We may transfer these Terms at any time without notice, including as part of a sale or transfer of the Site.
Force majeure. We are not liable for any delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of third-party services, data feeds, internet providers, or hosting.
Electronic agreement. You agree that checking the box and selecting "I agree" is your electronic signature, that these Terms are a legally binding contract in electronic form, and that we may give you notices electronically, including on the Site.
Headings in these Terms are for convenience only and have no legal effect. The word "including" means "including without limitation." These Terms are written in English, and the English version controls.
25. Contact
Questions, notices, copyright notices, account deletion requests, and arbitration opt-outs can be sent to us through Report a problem in the account menu on the Site. Notices to you may be sent to the email address on your account or posted on the Site.
